Did EY Canada promote everyone a year early or something? I saw a couple of promotions on my LinkedIn that were 🤔 and then saw EY’s official post that they had the largest number of promotions ever. I’m thinking this was a product of having to give large wage hikes like all B4, i.e. if you get a 15-20% bump then we need to bump your position to maintain our ranges long-term, and/or we are going to make you earn your new $ even if you may not be ready for the new title.

Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

I don’t mind short tenures to be honest. CMO’s have an average tenure of ~18 months in a role.
Larger issue is that LinkedIn is the worst social network by a long shot. Commentary isn’t valuable and commentary from people who didn’t work on a campaign is even less so.
The algorithm incentivizes comments and comment volume and the people replying give advice and replies more generic than ChatGPT.
Don’t be a LinkedIn influencer. It adds little to no value to your agency. Win awards and get press.

Did you get promoted from account executive to senior account executive by moving to another agency? Don’t know if that’s a “promotion” worth the move.
The worst people are the ones who get promoted by constant jobhopping to get bullshit titles short term. The best people are the ones who have actual impact on an agency and it’s business and get promoted internally. Those are usually the people who are better off in the long run.
