I only have 3 days total to prepare for REG; any advice on what to focus on? I am a 3rd year senior tax associate at a big 4 firm so the tax topics on the exam aren’t unfamiliar to me. My FAR score expires which is why I only have 3 days to prepare. Please give any advice!

Reschedule it, there is no way you can pass with only 3 days of studying and tax is just one piece of the pie. Sorry I’m not being petty just being realistic with you :/

like

I think it’s worth a shot. Worst case you pay $200 again but if you can avoid retaking FAR why wouldn’t you. Complete a final review and skip the tax topics.

I’d do it. Focus on the the randomness you don’t work on. I do mostly business returns. So I focused on individuals and the random chapters of Becker. I did have two weeks but worth a shot 🤷🏼‍♀️. I have prob wasted more money on far less, meaning I didn’t mind buying another NTS.

I should note that I have passed REG twice before but it has been 2 years so I feel like I can pass it with little time to study. I just don’t recall which law topics were most heavily tested.

like

Oh then you definitely got this!!!

Check the AICPA blueprint go in order of heaviest tested. Also check Reddit for recent test takers notes. And I hear basis is heavily tested. Lastly I would hammer MCQs like your life depends on it.

like

Realistically reschedule. You’ll have to retake far but you passing with 3 days of study time while also working isn’t impossible but the grit and will power needed is going to be too much

How’d it go?

Is the same true for tech trans or IP group?

First day of 30mg vyvanse today. Had a rush of energy and hyperfocus (too much so) about 2-4 hours in, but had a complete crash 5hrs after taking the pill (just a wave of fatigue, felt very good after a quick 15min nap actually) and not sure if it had any effect after. Is this normal? Should I stick it out for a few days or is this a big sign that I’m not on the right meds/dose? Nervous to keep trialling this during the workday since a midday crash is not ideal. Appreciate any advice!
