I posted an opening on my team on my LinkedIn. I’m not the hiring manager. Someone I do not know reached out and said she knew someone for the job. She passed along the resume. I asked if she applied online and said I was happy to put her resume in front of the hiring manager. The person let me know her contact had not applied, and had questions. So, I should emailed her. Is this normal? I was a little out off because if I was the candidate I would reach out myself.
