I received an offer for a Senior Auditor position at a bank in Charlotte with a salary of just over 100k. This is a lot lower than what I was earning in my previous risk advisory role. With over six years in consulting and the cost of living in Charlotte, mcol/hcol what would be acceptable?

I lateraled from a small firm to regional big law last year. I was told that my offer was commensurate with class year (5th year). The firm recently increased first year salary, with a 5% increase for all other attorneys. My original salary was equal to the new first year salary. The difference between my new salary and a first year is now $10k. I think it is fairly obvious that the hiring partner was not truthful with me. How would you address this? Is another lateral move my only option?
