I recently graduated University with a BSBA in Finance as of May 2025. I am in my first year as a Relationship Banker @ BofA but I would like to eventually pivot into an Analyst position.. Prior to this position, I was a manager for a local restaurant, and I was applying to every open FP&A position there was, but no luck, so after graduation, I resorted to applying to and landing this current role. Not very data/numbers heavy, more customer service/sales than anything.

Looking for advice: I have an analyst (9 months on the job) who still doesn’t get it - repeatedly misses comments, doesn’t follow instructions, slow, etc. I have raised this to both my MDs and they seem to be adopting a “not my problem” approach when I mention it. I had advised against hiring this analyst post internship and my MD insisted that all the issues I highlighted were fixable. I have tried teaching him to no avail and frustration with him is growing. Currently work in a very unique Wealth Management ops role.

Getting paid 85k base with 40k in bonus plus about 35k~ in OT.

Money isn’t everything but in my late 20s it feels like the only thing important right now.
