I recently had a screening with HR for an AD position. I thought that the role would be remote, but at the end of the screen they told me that it would be on-site. I would need to relocate for this role and would not be interested for this reason, but they sent me a request for an interview. Should I still interview to see if I can get an offer to negotiate with my current company? This AD role would be a promotion and major bump in salary, but I am not willing to move so far.

Is there an official promotion list out on ACN portal somewhere?

I am project manager in clinical research industry (CRO). After earning PhD, I gave up my science dream to take a more stable job. After slowly climbing the ladders, I feel like I finally got a seat at the table. Half the days I like the hustle, but now I miss being creative. I want to take more brainstorming, decision making responsibilities but I don’t see that in the career path for PM. Career path usually goes like this- Sr PM, Director, Sr Director, and so on. But all do same work.

I’ve applied to PM roles at many biotech companies (e.g. Charles River, ICON, Paraxel) but only got 1 interview which didn’t work out. Which companies should I look to for an entry level PM role? Can anyone tell me the difference between a senior and lead validation engineer( no direct reports in both cases) in Pharma/ biotech ? I am not sure what’s the hierarchy and which level must get a higher salary. Or is it just referenced interchangeably in different companies ?
