Hi, I am new to Canada and currently living in Vancouver, BC. I was looking for opportunities in the Financial Services industry in the Metro Vancouver Area. I have about 3 years of experience in the Banking/Financial Services and HealthTech industry and worked alongside IBM and PwC in developing and implementing cutting-edge FinTech products for business clients of a Financial Institution and led the Finance and data science team at a Health tech startup. Let me know if anyone can help me.
Hi all, I just got a job offer at PwC for a senior consultant position. The salary is 30% above my total comp right now, but I’m just worried about the amount of work I will have to put in compared to my amazing work life balance now. Does anyone have any experience moving from industry to consulting? I need some advice on what to do. I’m still early in my career (1.4yoe) so I feel like I shouldn’t care too much about wlb, but at the same time, I don’t want my mental health to suffer either.

This leaves a bad taste in the mouth, for sure. It's definitely an issue, esp, concerning, someone's, mental health. I would still bring it up to HR, and voice your concerns. Someone else, could be in a dangerous situation. Then, get brushed off, as well. Esp, when in leadership, it's unacceptable, to act in this manner.
You should make a formal complaint because our unprofessional how jobs have in their jobs application that they won’t discriminate anyone based on sex , gender or any type of disability and will give proper training etc . You did what you needed to do for your mental health which it always comes first and I also completely understand too , I also resigned my previous job because my former manger who I let him know during the interview that I had a learning disability and he didn’t give me the enough training to succeed. whenever I asked him or my coworkers to help me or what I need to do or even ask questions they would feel annoyed and frustrated with me , so it felt like humiliation, it was frustrating because they didn’t understand my disability, everyone has their own pace of learning, some learned faster than others but with micromanagement it does affected you mentally , so do what you must do if you wanna make a formal complaint do it because every job should treat their employees with respect and be patient with them ,
This has happened to me quite a bit. I have learning disability problems and jobs. Don’t understand they tried to help me with some of the cuts I was doing and they were getting frustrated with me because I wasn’t learning fast enough for him so I ended up making the tough decision to leave because I was coming home every night, bawling my eyes out and not wanting to be here anymore. Still looking for work my memo Health is more important than that job was to me though so yeah, I understand where you’re coming from big time.
