I somehow got put in charge of planning teambuilding even though morale is hovering somewhere near zero. I’m thinking either a “coffee-and-complain” morning where people can vent safely, or a small win-sharing meeting to remind us we do get things right. Would either of those land with your teams right now? I don’t want to make things feel forced.

I would definitely not call it a "coffee and complain" lol. It's a cute name but it could be seen as promoting negativity. I do think little morale boosters are a good idea though and I would love that kind of thing at my office. But I'm just too busy to engage with anything that isn't directly related to work.

Hahahah I am going to be honest, I love the idea of coffee and complain. However, a small win meeting is probably a more positive idea. I have things complaining sessions go far left and you don't want that.

Is it a red flag if, after almost two years in a full quota carrying and selling role I want to take a lower role at another company in order to break into a field (tech sales) I want to work in? It’s better pay - closer to home and at a company with a better reputation?

“Job hopper” and “quiet quitting” are all schemes made up by boomers to make you think everything is the employees fault. When in reality people are just getting out of bad situations. Older companies do whatever they can to pay you the least amount and get the max work out of you. Except our generation will just leave amid we’re being mistreated, not complain for 35 years making 50k and 0 advancement.

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. How would someone coming from mostly retail wireless sales get into the tech sales industry? I had a job interview for a role that I really want. The hiring manager scheduled me for an interview and did not show up. Emailed me an hour later stating that he got super busy and couldn’t attend, and would like to reschedule. This is a major red flag, but I can’t help but feel that I am missing out since this role pays 50% over what I currently make. Should I let the recruiter know? What’s your take on this?
