I started FPU this evening. It was really great!

This doesn't pertain to Student Loans, specifically, but I know many of you have been through FPU and some of you tithe...

Do you tithe on your net or gross pay?
I tithe on my net pay.

During the video we watched tonight, when Rachel Cruze was going over a sample budget, her example showed the tithe off of gross pay.

I want to make sure what I'm doing is biblically correct, but I wouldn't mind a little more wiggle room in the budget also.

From my understanding of tithing it can be 10% off gross or net pay, it's your personal choice. I think the whole point of tithing is to teach you about giving. Plus people feel better when they give to others.

Depends entirely on you, if you want to tithe on Gross or Net. Typically it's what you get in hand, since that is what's directly coming to you The rest may go into Pension biggest chunk, etc I am assuming you will be tithing even after you retire, so as that money grows, you will be giving off even more. As for other deductions there are Taxes, Health care, etc and other thing that you never see in your hand, so it's up to you how exactly you want to tithe.

I tithe based on net and will still do offerings for special events/causes in the church or direct to mission work.

Hi all, I’m currently a solution architect with 1yoe and two bachelors degrees. I also hold two cloud certifications and make 60k a year. This seems very low considering what I’ve seen for average SA salaries for those who hold the AWS SAA certification. Was hoping for some insight on this and if I should seek more compensation. Thanks!

Damn LIBOR rate up again...

Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. Wishful thinking???
