I started reading books on profiling people and now applying it at work.
First rule how + what = who. How did someone do something and what did they do? That’s all you need to know to decipher who they really are.

You sound exhausting to work with

@op Horribly. Only thing you got right was my age. Happily partnered, lived all over/traveller, thrives in chaos.

Why do you feel the need to profile co-workers?

smart

To predict their behavior and avoid landing on a bad team. To move ahead in my career by knowing what motivates someone. And three it’s just fun!

Would you give an example?

Just look for patterns. Take a course on fbi profiling and see how they detect when someone is lying. I also look for other cues - like does this person have life outside of work? And ask a lot of questions - why do you want to have lunch with me? I also can see through BS pretty easily and like to work with others that share my same style ( casual not uptight , fun and creative ) I don’t know it’s a craft you keep refining but it’s interesting !

I am only 4 months into being a surgical coordinator. I love the position itself however I am struggling to adapt into my new work environment. My position puts me in a place where I need to interact with my new coworkers but they are not as welcoming as I expected. There is also another surgical coordinator however I have come to find from other staff that there is a long history of her running other staff away and not fully training other surgical coordinator staff properly. Any suggestions?

I currently work in Healthcare as a respiratory therapist for 10 years. I have been at my job, currently, for a little over 5 years. Alongside my bachelors degree I also have a masters degree in healthcare administration. Although, I am happy with my current position as a respiratory therapist, there seems to be not a lot career growth with where the department I currently work in within my healthcare system. I am wondering what doors/opportunities I have if I were to utilize my masters degree?

Started talking to this guy through group a group telegram and one day he offered to pay for my lunch as I had helped him out with something. Since then he has been offering to pay for my dinners, salon visits, shopping etc and I have accepted 3-4 times. I am in a steady relationship and my boyfriend doesn’t know about this. The other guy just says he likes paying for my stuff and there’s no agenda. Is this a little weird?

Alright fellas, hims vs keeps?

I’m 25 and still have a good head of hair, but can see myself greying and feel like more and more hair is falling out every day. Not noticeable but have heard prevention is everything for this and am following the exact pattern my grandfather did, who had thick hair like mine and then was bald by 30.

Appreciate all you stylish folk and hope everyone has a great day.

I left my job without having anything else lined up otherwise I would have had a mental breakdown. I’m not even in that great of a financial place, but it was my job or my sanity. I know at least three other people who, in the past few months, have left with nothing lined up. I feel like it’s something we need to be talking more about. This isn’t normal for people to be doing this right?
