I have 6 YOE in. Net+Angular and got an offer from Legato Health Technologies with 20 LPA Fixed, i joined Infor just 11 months ago with 12LPA Fixed and i will get the hike in August. If i resign now i will not get hike and i am a critical resource in the project, i guess Infor might try to retain me by matching offer. What should i do? Should i resign ASAP and not negotiate with Infor . I have all these doubts because Infor is a product based company.

I understand that and I've experienced it. I took me a while to realize that sometimes the person who says the least wins. It's better to just do what's right and not bother to explain much, that way you don't get someone nitpicking what you say.

Yes. I used to think explaining more would fix it. Now I focus on being clear once and documenting. Not everything deserves a debate.
Certain leaders would rather you explain something they don't understand in the exact same way multiple times instead of trying to pivot and work around their misunderstanding. Even if they still don't get it, they see verbatim consistency as strength and nuanced explanation as contradiction/weakness. Then it just becomes about who can dig their heels in harder and exert their viewpoint.

True, not everyone wants to get into the weeds. I’ve just found that when curiosity is missing entirely, that’s when confusion tends to linger longer than it should.

I’ve definitely seen that. Sometimes the issue isn’t the explanation, it’s the power dynamic. I’ve found it helps to keep things clearly documented and confirmed in writing, even when conversations feel unclear.

The power dynamic is real. Documentation has saved me more than over-explaining ever did. Clarity in writing creates its own protection.
