PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

Can someone kindly connect me with Investment Banking HR/Recruiter/anyone willing to help? My friend interviewed for Goldman Sachs NY. Cleared the HireVue but didn’t get any communication further. It’s been 4 weeks now. Although the referral came from a VO but the division is different. My friend is looking for Investment Banking division. Need to get in touch with someone from investment banking to push the resume. The rolling process is hurting the chances.Thank you Goldman Sachs

This sounds like a classic "grass is always greener" scenario. In my personal experience, I would much rather deal with the hands off manager than the micromanager. I'll take having to figure things out on my own over feeling suffocated at work every time.

Yeah, totally get that. I’d take space over micromanaging any day too. But There’s stuff only they can handle, and when they don’t, you’re just stuck waiting.
I got you, I had both as well. However, I would rather have a super chill manager, because I like to have the freedom to do what I want while still meeting expectations. I am proactive on asking where to focus, so its perfect. I think everything depends on your work style and what you like best. Also, extremes are always bad, so you could share as feedback to tell your manager what works best for you just so you can be your best at work.

That’s a great point, it really does come down to work style. I’m still figuring out how to ask for what I need without sounding like I’m complaining 😅 but yeah, finding that middle ground makes such a difference.
You just reminded me how much I miss my previous manager. She was super chill but also really supportive. Honestly, I’d rather deal with someone who micromanages than someone who doesn’t care at all. At least the first one’s engaged.
