Stockholm syndrome. You'll get over it.
Not crazy. Boomeranged to big 4 3x
3x boomerang? Jeez
Completely off your rocker. You know they sell kool aid at every grocery store right?
Double boomerang from other firms, EY Kool aid is strong and delicious like the Flavia coffee
You're not crazy. I left for four years and came back. It has it's issues, but so does everything and I like the people, the flexibility and the growth. Once you leave, you're already certain what you're getting into when you come back.
Agreed. Left once for a raise to pay medical bills, once to move to a new city. The next time, oil crashed. Back for the 3rd time, and the 3rd B4.
@Specialist1, Using context clues it's clear to see that OP drank the kool aid hardcore when she was at EY. Therefore, instead of coming back to this god forsaken hell hole, I'm simply offering a cheaper, less self destructive option of purchasing said kool aid from a grocery store.
Insane. EY doesn't appreciate its people. Been working until 4 am for 2 months straight with no compensation or thank you. It not worth it
Do it. EY is a great place to work. If you're missing it come back!
Yes.
You realize people have different experiences right? Just because you don't like it, and OP did, doesn't mean they drank the kool aid. Different office culture, teams, etc. You sound like one of those liberals that believes everyone should have the same ideology or gtfo
Don't do it
I left EY for a different B4 and came back. Also being a boomerang 3x doesn't necessarily mean D1 worked at 3 different firms. He could have left and came back each time to the same firm.
These days companies know people job hop. I am not one to hop around like that. I was at Deloitte for 5.5 years.. and at EY almost 10. I left because this new job was offering more advancement and more money. Do i think i will jump again, probably mot, but you never know. If i do jump, it will be back to a B4.. maybe PwC or KPMG next time..😂
To OP.. if you want to go back to EY.. then go back, but there are alot of changes going on at EY to try to accomplish that vision 2020.. so just do your research before coming back.
Agree with Specialist 1. If you come back, hook a friend up with a referral bonus though.
Tell us why you don't like industry?
I went industry to public. I was even in Corp finance in industry. It's just very boring, I did the same routine weekly. Advancement is slow unless you job hop. Lots of downtime. Which is why I'm in public until I can hop into a higher level position in private. Public allows for more variety, more advancement, and less routine.
Again, this applies more to lower level positions. I expect manager and up type jobs in private are more stimulating.
Basically I would never jump for a "senior accountant" job in industry. Having to sit in the same cube every day bothered me too. Travelling to different offices is better for my mind.
