Hi all,
I joined KPMG around 3 months ago but I am not getting work here. Although, I qualified some project's interview, yet due to some internal reason, they considered someone else, and I again came on bench.
I am unable to figure out what can be done now.
Should I start searching work outside.
(I hardly see any job openings these days)

How's the resource management here?
(do they lagOff?)

I remember my first project

(Cont’d) on me... I am the only person on this work stream so if I roll off it will 100% impact the project... leadership is aware but only agrees with what I say and I have not observed any action from their end to communicate with the client. I feel over burdens and overwhelmed... what do I do? I don’t see an exit and I even contemplated quitting the company because I’m getting 0 support...
Before taking shit from the client, always let them know you will have to refer to the sow and will let them know. .. but yeah that's consulting.

I was snarky before, but you are probably really struggling. So my real advice to you is to hang in there for the 6 weeks, keep talking to leadership about the challenges (check in on the progress weekly, ask them what actions, specifically, they will take to help you (in a nice way)), and see if you can spin this as a “I’m being a team player on this one, we all know it sucks, here’s what I want for my next role...” type of story.
You can’t ask for the world, but you do have some leverage if they are acknowledging it sucks. Your best bet is to leverage that to get closer to what you want to do.
@A1 thank you. I’ve been on poorly managed projects before but this project is just madness... you are right though, it looks like I would have to push through the next 6 weeks. If I roll off before than I will be burning major bridges..
