Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon
Guys , whoever is interviewing and planning to join , do ask project availablity on priority basis before you take decision. On Java front looks like there is some project issue due to recent slowdown in market. My offer was not revised even after agreement with recruiter because of this.

Not unless you’re in public sector consulting
If you ARD you’re fine. It will be wiped away. Wait till it’s wiped to find something else.
Do not cheap out on a lawyer. They will be worth their weight in gold

Definitely won't affect it in a positive way
McK this was actually hilarious 😂

You've been arrested, not convicted. When a criminal background check is done it will show up only as the arrest.
Now once there is a conviction, plea deal or whatever, that will also show up as the disposition on your record until you get it expunged.
I didn’t think you could get DWI expunged since they don’t want you driving a school bus down the line
This happened to someone my team had already made an offer to. It was my first time facing it, but thankfully in this case the candidate was upfront and contrite, and there was no injury or damage other than to his own vehicle, so he was not charged with an aggravated offense and we were able to get comfortable still bringing him on.
Answer questions honestly, when they're asked .If asked about an arrest before the background check, you gotta disclose it before the background check.
Consequences for lying or being less than truthful are far worse than just owning up.
Sorry, OP, but you were arrested because of a suspicion you were driving a vehicle while being impaired. Car batteries that die when the drivers of those vehicles are sober -- or, at least, not under suspicion of being impaired --- aren't the cause of an arrest for a dui. (I had a similar tall tale running in my own brain for years about speeding being the impetus for my dui. Fact is, speeding leads to tickets for speeding. Being over the limit and speeding leads to an arrest for dui plus speeding ; )
Hi! Might also want to post this in the sobriety and addiction bowl to get perspectives from others who might have been in the same boat. Worst thing is to be dishonest and hope it won't surface. Good luck to you!

Get a good lawyer. Have a buddy who has had three and none show up. Not saying the system is just or fair but use it to your advantage.
There is usually a question on the background check paperwork that asks if you were ever convicted of a crime or something along those lines…so even if you get the offer - it’s a possibility it could be pulled afterwards
Good to know

Depends on the company.
One of my previous employers didn't care about DUIs at all. Another former midsize employer had a zero tolerance policy and a DUI was grounds for immediate termination and would block your candidacy.

Was it a felony? If yes, it’s going to be a problem.
Just don’t lie or conceal the fact
You’re getting ARD. You’re fine. For now it will show as arrest. No conviction.
