I was diagnosed adhd long after I chose the consulting field. It’s one of the only professions that you can change projects entirely every few months - or even weeks or days. It always keeps things new and interesting. If I’m on a project for more than a year I lose interest. As I got older and started my own firm, then step in as ceo, that also changes frequently. Have any of you found that consulting is a good fit for adhd?

I recently got diagnosed with ADHD. I'm 31 and found this only because b school and post mba consulting job was/is much more challenging than anything I did before. What I'm confused about is that even as a teenager I could read entire books overnight. But the last two years of high school I started selectively zoning out and the problem has become worse since. I just realised it now. My doctor has suggested treating depression (I was also unaware of this) with Wellbutrin first (contd)

I have not been diagnosed with ADHD. I definitely fit some of the characteristics that go unnoticed in females. The good news is if i do have ADHD, it makes me quite good at my job as I’m very flexible and can provide positive energy to my patients. Anyway, my boss has told me I have ADHD multiple times.
