I was laid off from a corporate job in November 2023. After applying for ~60 full-time and ~30 contract jobs, I had interviews with 7 employers. Average 2 rounds per employer. Rejected by ~8 employers either after 0, 1 or 2 rounds. Finally received an offer with a small boutique consulting company in principal consultant role. Salary offered is few thousand dollars more than what I earned prior as manager of technology. Expect at least one more offer in few weeks.

I am done with all my rounds at S&P Global and shared my documents to HR. No one has asked about my expected salary yet. Is this usual in their process. How much can I ask for an experience of 9 years. How many days does it take to release the offer and what is the slary structure.

6 months pregnant and just laid off. And 40% of my severance was just taken in taxes .. I just spoke with paid family leave and I no longer qualify even though I had been paying into the program (thanks NY).. I already applied for unemployment but doctors are telling me I’ve got 10-14 weeks left in this pregnancy.. so stressed having twins and being unemployed, no maternity leave, no paychecks coming in, and I’ve been applying but not a single interview.. just ugh. 😭
