Can anyone help me understand this better?

McCann was the worst. Ogilvy and RG/A
Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

CD: it sucked at first but now it’s just how it is.
Consequences of WFH. Email and phones were OK when you could also see people in person (the next door desk and/or 5 minute drops bys). But if you don’t have that have to replicate collaboration and shared spaces some how.
Would say the danger is it swings too much one way... but that is according to taste and how regimented a team is on process. Delicate balance.
As others have said this was all here before too, but different levels of adoption so maybe less noticeable.
Going to change again when we head into a hybrid / mix mode world (already happening for some).
We were already using collaborative documents and zoom before this. It's really convenient.
Were you like emailing PowerPoints back and forth before this? Only 1 person in the Excel sheet at a time? That kinda thing? That's really sad.

SC2: Hell no. 😂 I mostly share decks and scripts via Google Docs / Slides. In my last Agency (pre COVID) my ECDs preferred to have work emailed as PDFs because they found it easier to view (esp on their phones) and they didn’t intend to revise the work themselves.
Current agency has every stakeholder in there changing things before they go to client. Last week I noticed an Account person revising dialog and had to call them out.
It’s not the technology, it’s the way it’s used to the point of harassment. 🤯 I’m just a Creative who needs space to think without constant screen time. Hope this helps clarify.
Not sure what you’re complaining about. We work remotely therefore we use remote software. Would you still like to stick to only phones and emails?
Seems like you just like complaining. Glad you’re not my creative director.

Have to be available for everything and still find time to work.
I’m a little confused. Was it April 2014 when you were laid off? How dated was the place that let you go?
Don’t mean to be a jerk, but these were all in some part of the workflows for us since before the office closed. It really does sound like your previous place hadn’t caught up?
Agree translation lol
You’ve heard of the frog in the stove pot?

@OP I am going through the exact same thing. Learning to use Zoom, share my screen, etc. and, yes! The constant interruptions are annoying. I hate it too.

Hmm. Sounds like a culture or process problem, not an issue with the particular mediums of contact. Try mentioning the process issues to other management and maybe there's some ways to solve them?
Is there a reason you need Slack if you have Teams? How are they different?

Teams was one freelance job, the slack and zoom combo is another. Google meet and WebEx was another. Six months ago they were all irrelevant.
