I just use my cobra, but the city that you're in will be helpful for responses.

I'm in LA

Look into Kaiser Permanente, I think they're the cheap option out there!

Oxford was great but now has a very narrow network. Most of my docs are with Healthfirst so I'm using that this year. Go with a silver plan so you can open an HSA. (Silver is less monthly but 2k deductible which satisfies HSA requirements. ). Then don't touch the HSA, invest it and consider it like an IRA.

Oops not Oxford, Oscar. ☝️

I don't think they have Oscar in LA.

Sorry didn't realize LA guy was OP

Trying to decide about potentially leaving a job. I’ve been there about 2 years which is the longest I’ve ever been anywhere. I’ve gone from $19 to $22 an hour, gotten bonuses, and have some pretty great benefits. However I’ve also been denied a promotion 3x and feel my responsibility outweighs my pay. There’s another company that’s been sliding in my dm’s offering 60-75k and unlimited PTO, and I’m pretty seriously considering it. But afraid of leaving a team I love and work I don’t mind. WWYD?

That’s just a small list of things I’m told I should hate because they’re all socialist. I’m not at all sorry to report that I’m FOR all of those things. Call me whatever you want.
