The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?

Do you have access to benefits through your partner? That would be a big deciding factor for me. What I might do is accept FT for security but not necessarily update on LI/resume until you’re a few months in and feel sure they’re not going to put you in a similar bad position. If they’re inflexible you’ve always got the option to class them as contract and go back to freelance work. But guaranteeing work/income through 2021 definitely has some appeal. I’m sorry it didn’t work at the last place, good luck with this.
No advice, but solidarity - my husband was just let go from his production studio. He is weighing the same thoughts around FT vs. Freelance for his next move. We have 2 kids under 5. I personally favor the stability of FT - but I think for his skill set (photography, marketing, account management, operations, producing, biz dev) he might find freelance more rewarding and varied. Does seem like you have to hustle, though! Good luck with your decision.
