Larsen & Toubro Infotech Is it good time to join Cognizant now for Coimbatore location considering too much attrition in recent times along with many policy changes and do they have enough projects or will there be any chance of layoffs if we don't find any projects for our skill(Tableau in my case)? I have another offer with LTI, Coimbatore for same salary but i prefer CTS more than LNT. Cognizant Larsen & Toubro Infotech

Yes.
It’s probably better for the recruiter to understand the lay of the land. It isn’t as if you can hide this situation in interviews etc and im sure you are not the only person this has happened to, your recruiter may have thoughts about how to spin.
Were you laid off effective immediately or do you have some runway? I would tell your recruiter. I would not tell potential employers unless you have to (i.e., no runway or they ask directly).
Got it. Well that sucks, but it’s covid times, I think you’ll be ok. Potential employers who are interested are not going to interrogate your current firm about why you were let go and your current firm is going to refuse to get into details because they’re concerned about liability.
I’d just phrase it as “unfortunately work slowed down due to covid, so looking for my next opp, here’s all the reasons I’m excited to potentially work for your firm”.
