I was offered a management position at a different company but my current company made me an offer to stay, by boosting my salary and giving me the opportunity to create a team. It’s been two months and my company now announced a re org that seems to only affect me: my manager role and team was canceled and I’m offered my old job back (but keeping the compensation). Is this ethical? Are there any norms or laws that would prevent that ?

I’m currently a Grade 11 at Cisco. With the recent pay structure changes my annual comp will be $150k + 12% bonus. I live in a large metro area in the middle of the US. But due to the diminishing demands of the role in IT industry , I am planning to switch my career in Devops or AWS which would help me grow.

Hi guys, After CAF completion by last week, yesterday I received a call from the HR for the second round of evaluation. So, I attended it yesterday and performed well by answering 90-95% of the questions. Even the interviewer gave good comments on my performance.
