Anyone with recent experience recruiting for Boston Consulting Group? Got in touch with a recruiter through referral, was directed to submit an application and already finished my pymetrics. Anyone know when I would be able to hear back and what the hiring timeline looks like? Recruiter suggested to get back in a few weeks but isn’t it too slow? McKinsey sent me an invite for 1st interview in a few days after they received my referral.

Nobody can tell you what you should do because it depends on too many variables. At the end of the day you need to look at what you value and make the decision. Is your current location important to you? If so, is career advancement more important? Who cares if you advance faster if you hate where you’ll live.
Assuming you’re in oil and gas consulting by looking at where you’re working. What location are they asking you to move? If it’s Houston or Dallas, you should move. Ultimately it will come down to what A1 mentioned. If you’re well settled in San Antonio and career is not a big deal, you can stay put.
