I was recently told, very bluntly, by a recruiter that they were looking for someone younger who could work long hours, with the implication being “more energy” and “no kids.” No subtlety, no hesitation, just said out loud. It honestly caught me off guard how normalized age and family status bias still seems to be in hiring. Has anyone else experienced this so directly during a job search?

Hello! I work in change management and am assigned to an IT POM transformation. I’m still in my fact finding/change readiness analysis phase, but struggling with the senior leadership team. Does anyone have any lesson learned or best practices in eliciting feed back from senior leaders? think SVP and above? I thought about focus groups, but their time is limited.
