I was thinking about buying 25% of a 3-bedroom flat in London to live in one room and let the other 2 rooms. Anyone did something similar before? What are the gotchas?

I didn't mean same day or same month. If the contract says 1 month notice after the first 3 months, then that is not too bad I think

You may find that in these types of arrangements it’s illegal for you to sublet. That said, unlikely they will find out so depends on your appetite to break the terms of agreement. If you are living in the apartment and renting it will essentially be a rolling 30 days. Buying equity /stair casing can be administrative heavy and expensive

They take rent from you based on what they own (typically 2.5% or 2.75% a year)

Got an agent and she was useless for finding good tenants. Got frustrated and finally started finding leads myself and closing on one soon. I have signed a contract with the agent for paying one months rent as fee. How can i fight this or as he has been literally of zero value add? I’ve been seeing all of the Instagram and Linked In posts from agencies in town showing their “commitment to transparency in hiring” and to hire more minorities in light of the BLM movement. I knew the numbers were bad, but holy shit, not THAT bad.
It’s infuriating to me, as a POC how many fucking times I applied, emailed and reached out to so many of these agencies without getting even the time of day.
I’ll believe their supposed commitments, when I actually see the results.

Is it okay to buy a home worth 660K for a couple earning 325K TC together? The HOA and taxes for this home bring the monthly payment up to ~4.8K which is ~32% of our monthly take home after tax…we’re first time home buyers, any advise is appreciated!

Question for folks with second homes: Considering buying a vacation home but would be primarily for family use.
