I went through the loop for the Sr. EM role at AWS recently. Within a week a recruiter told me over the phone that the team has decided to move forward with other candidates but I can apply for other positions without any cooling-off period. No email communication yet. Is there a possibility of the recruiter coming back with a down-leveling offer? What are my options at Amazon now? Does going through a recent loop gives me any advantage while applying immediately for other positions at Amazon/AWS?

My current company is “taking me off payroll” but instead of laying me off or firing me, are fully expecting me to take up an hourly contractor position for $30/hour with no specified time or guarantee of hours. How do I respectfully tell them no?

Preparing for my final round case interview and I’ve realized that whereas prior to the first round I was pretty comfortable with casing, now I’m less and less so since I’m increasingly anxious that I could not come up with the right buckets. I’m also doing more untraditional cases at times which makes me feel like I’m not performing that well. Has anyone experienced similar things? How did you cope with it/What’s your advice? I've become really jaded about consulting. I find all so often you need to tell the client what they want to hear to keep their business and I feel like so much of the what I recommend doesn't actually get implemented. I'm looking to make a career switch so I can both create and execute on my strategies. A product management path seems very promising for this.
