Hello people, how common is a Amazon to PWC move ?
I’m interviewing for a Senior Associate role and TC seems to be more competitive than role in L5.
TC $114k- Base AMZ- $73k +$38kstocks ( vesting 17k$ due next year)
TC $135k Base PWC -$81$ + Bonuses ( 50k$)
Looking for managerial skills which the PWC role avails, and L6 promo doesn’t seem to be happening soon in current role. I’m also mentally stretched. I hear WLB in PWC is just as busy but can anyone confirm if this move makes any sense. Google Amazon

TBH people who have aspirations to work in advertising in college or their early 20s are weirdos.
I prefer working with creatives who didn’t go to ad school. Ad school is stupid.
Most people who went to ad school are probably jealous you went to film school
Lots of people wind up in advertising who never intended to be there. And they do well. I’ve been in the business for thirty years and I only took one advertising class in college. Which I think I passed but I wouldn’t bet my life on it.
You’ll be fine.
Wow, you make me feel a lot better for not going going after school.
I dont think so—it’s intense, EXPENSIVE, training on what recruiters are looking for in books, plus internships, plus networking. The whole point is to get a job in advertising and you got one.
Two things you dont have that they do is a bunch of friends to stay in touch with and always be able to call about work (that would be great)...and the soul crushing debt that will last years and years (they envy you there).
Lol no
Ad schools didn't exist when I started and I'm still thriving. Keep your head up...advertising has MANY routes and paths to get to where you want to be.
My agency fired most of its ad school grads.
I didn’t go to ad school. I worked internships and jr roles in agencies. I’m 41 and think my generation was the last not to care about ad school
What
I didn’t go to ad school either. No one cares. You’re fine.
I got my job by accident and definitely didn’t think I’d ever be here.
