I say start with long/curtain bangs at a length that suits your face. See how you feel and then decide if you wanna go shorter. I had a bob and bangs a fews years ago and you can only do so much with with shirt bangs. I ended up shaving all my ahir off anyway (which was the plan). But if you like something no fuss, go for curtains
That's a good idea, and sounds like a safer place to start....
Honestly when I had bang I kept breaking out on my forehead and I just don't think they suited me...but you do you!!! if they look good, go for it!
I got bangs last Friday and I regret it DEEPLY. Heed my warning girlfriend.
THANK YOU. (And also, I'm sorry!!!)
You can buy clip in curtain bangs (real human hair) on Amazon to see if you like the look on yourself before committing. I looked through the reviews and they look amazing on most of the women on there
Ummm this is genius!!
I say do whatever floats your boat and say F-It to whomever thinks otherwise.
The difference between a good hair cut and a bad hair cut is about 3 weeks. If you add in bangs, it is about 6 months or more.

Have you ever had them? Maybe try wigs before committing?
I'm gonna get them soon too but I has them before and in fact many people thought I looked better with them 🤣
I was in the same place a month ago but at the last moment I decided to GET bangs and I was thrilled! I loved how it looked and it only took one day before some deep regret started to set in. There have been a few good days since but only when I'm willing to spend extra time styling and even then I end up pushing them to the side & end up with curtain bangs.
TLDR - don't get bangs! In the long term it's just not worth it

I have had long facing framing layers the last year, been wanting bangs. At my December appointment I got curtain bangs so they are still longer, shortest pieces hit at my eyeballs. I’ve had two months to try them out now and absolutely love it. Styling isn’t as much of a hassle as I thought. I plan to commit to full bangs at my next appointment.
But if I decided I didn’t like this, it was still long enough to grow out relatively fast! So test it out before committing to the style that’s my opinion.

I gave my stylist this photo for reference but said I want it longer! I told her I wasn’t ready for the full commitment of bangs and wanted something to try the look but not so short it wouldn’t grow back out faster. I love how it came out.
Do it!!!! People were telling me that before I got mine, I’ve had them for 5 years now and love them. It really depends on the person but they really aren’t that bad just get yourself a hair dryer and a round brush so you can fix them up when needed, literally only takes 2 minutes for me
I guess you either love them or hate them, huh?!
I had bangs a WHILE ago (high school) and I loved them. I did front bangs, not layered or curtain. However, I have naturally curly hair, so a quick blow dry every day was critical to looking even remotely put together.
I encourage you to take the plunge!
See, it's comments like these that make me want to just GO FOR IT. But it's scary though lol!

nay
Nayyyy, those things take forever to grow out
Why not begin with a lengthy face-framing layer or curtain bang that reaches your cheekbone while still being long enough to tuck behind your ear? Find out if you like it. If you don't, it will grow out easily because it will blend in. You can always go shorter if you like it.
A benefit of bangs is that they make it simple to freshen up your appearance. Cons: Because the hair is on your forehead, it could make acne worse if you already have it.
I found that styling them every day was quick, but high maintenance. Getting them clipped every 4 weeks required a lot of maintenance, but I kept doing it since I liked them on me.
After having them, I don't believe I would ever go back. I have to wash them every day because they stick to my forehead, especially if they get messed up while I'm sleeping. It was the worst having to wait a year for them to grow.
Due to my laziness and the ease of my hair, I am accustomed to just combing it and leaving the house, or wearing it in a low bun. But I wasn't ready, and bangs need some upkeep. Simply put, it was something I rapidly grew tired of.
I LOVED mine!! Got so many compliments and it was a cute look but growing them out was painful lol, so was styling most days but I suffered for them.
Bangs just seem like more maintenance
