Similar situation for me! Highly agree with you. Also, what frustrates me is I often see “entry level” jobs requiring 2-5 years experience.
This is the one! Entry level but need 2 years of clinical research experience. Why isn’t my research experience enough?
Keep applying. Don’t give up. Change up your résumé and see if that helps.
Try applying to crc roles at universities that have clinical trials
Try and make sure you’re using the key words in the job posting and really only state skills that are transferable on your resume. Also Atlanta is small see if you can get a referral cause Emory pays employees for it.
The challenge I’ve noticed for entry level is that at each company, they call the role something different. Try looking for Clinical trial assistant, site manager, site ID specialist, site activation manager type roles.
I’ll try this. Very helpful, thank you
I would suggest try for Clinical Research Assistant roles.
Thank you, I’ll definitely check those out instead
I completely agree. I’m in the same boat and it’s so annoying
Something that I think is really helpful is viewing LinkedIn profiles of people who are in positions that you want to be in. Sometimes they will have short description of their role in a specific company. This was really helpful to me when it came to understanding what employers were looking for. It also helped me make adjustments to my resume so that I was speaking a ‘similar language’.
