I work for a company specializing in sensors and wearables and one of my co workers passed along my contact info to a consulting firm as someone who can advise on decentralized trials. Has anybody worked with consulting firms before, and what’s a reasonable rate to charge (either per session or hourly?)

I want to make sure I’m being compensated adequately for my time/expertise but don’t want to go in charging anything considered an outlandish rate.

I'm having total 7+ yoe (5+yrs embedded developer + 2yrs in FuSa automotive) Initially HCL have denied what I've expected for automotive FuSa and they have given an offer of 10LPA with a justification that my relevant experience is less, now I'm holding an offer of 18 LPA and asked HCL for a counter offer for the same position what do you guys think will HCL offer me this much?
