Could someone explain what finance closing process is? I passed CPA and have audit experience but I don’t really understand how industry accounting cycle works :( What does it mean to close the books? Are they referring to 12/31 deadline? Do all JE have to be recorded within this date? How does one close it?

My first switch took me to 9LPA from 6LPA and now the second switch is being offered for 11.5LPA where I can see my fellow friends in SAP having more than 15LPA at the same experience on their second switch itself. Should I be worried about my skillset? Any insights would highly be appreciated. I feel stuck.

Looking for advice... 5 months ago I went from Higher Education (HE) Law Firm. I was so excited to move on and was offered about $16K more in my salary.

Today I find myself not excited about my current job and since the firm is much smaller than my last job in HE I feel like there is less growth opportunities. North Indian HR not selecting south Indian candidate into the company even if he on par with North Indian candidate. I see this attitude amongst most of the interview which I had attended.

Can someone pls tell me what's wrong with the HR these days. At the time of interview they agree to your expecting compensation and after you clear the interview and submit all the documents, they give wierd reasons for negotiations and stresses you out.

I have started working in Sutherland in December 2021 for a different profile other than my previous experience. And to be true i am not enjoying this role. So recently i got offer from SAS for the same profile as I had before Sutherland. I cleared all the rounds with 70% hike.
Now I am worried how do I put down my papers? As i am still in training can I ask for immediate release? How do i put down things in Sutherland? Do i have to face any consequences?
