If I switch jobs and go to a wealth management firm, would Deloitte let me go immediately after me putting in my two weeks notice or would they let me work for that time?

I know big4 immediately lets you go if you're going to a competitor but eh it isn't really? But I can see why they may see it as one

I’ve been at my company for 10+ years. I’m not happy with the culture but have flexibility I enjoy, seniority for the time I’ve been here, and pays well. An new job opportunity came up as a Tax Manager but in a different industry which could expand my skillset in different ways, but is not as flexible and the pay is 20k lower. If I stay, I will be Director in few years. What will look better on a resume in the future, continued growth in 1 company or experience in more than 1 company?

Another good senior gave notice today 🥲 don’t blame her one bit and wish her best of luck - I just wish our firm would’ve treated people better so that people at least don’t leave during busy season (we are filing in 3 weeks). Now I am seeing a lot of people leave during even busy season.. and I would’ve too if I had an offer
