Lmao point well received
Call me jr. custodian for all I care
And make up the role title on your resume lol - for example Team Lead or Strategy Advisor
You’re not misrepresenting as far as I know. Based on the role and job I was applying to, I would list on my resume I was. Senior analyst or senior research analyst or team lead to give credibility to my resume. Also, even if you were a senior consultant, but served as a project manager on your client project then why won’t you list that way when you apply to a managerial or other leadership role? I understand there might be certain background checks and certain companies report an exact level but not an expert there. Just sharing personal experience.
No. It's what you actually do in that role that matters.
Title matters, most companies will ask if current employer doesn’t feel you should be a manager then is there a risk of hiring this non-manager candidate as a manager.
Its not the case always but since you are young, money matters and hopefully they will promote you in a year or 2 if you are at the top of salary band and your performance is good, otherwise you will be “managed out”
The fact people ask questions like this on fishbowl 😩
Would you give some more detail on the sector/type of analyst please? I work in healthcare IT and I am not aware of any analyst roles that pat that well. Sounds like a few us us are ready to pivot!
Why you care about the title when you have $150k? Don't mind the title on the resume and if you plan to switch someday, they will know in the process that you are more than the title written on the paper.
I would represent yourself with your functional title rather than ‘analyst’. At the end of the day, your scope of work and comp will help you with your next role.
