We make far too much and have far too many benefits to fall under collective bargaining.
A lot of the unions out their are working hard to make sure their members have basic things like a living wage, physically safe workspaces, and insurance. We already have all of those things.
If anything I'd say a consultants union with its overpaid office workers would devalue other unions.
Y'all are correct on income not being the right factor to consider. I'd based that on the fact that at a lot of orgs making less than a certain amount automatically makes you part of a collective bargaining agreement. I suppose that doesn't mean we couldn't organize.
As for the pilot union - they started with the mission of "schedule with safety," they kill people if they fall asleep on the job, we just embarass ourselves.
Window in every team room! Consultants of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your path to pa- wait a minute.
Pitch your vision OP
We are at will, so...
If all the top talent united, they’d have no choice...”windows, balance, windows, balance!!"
Haha! What would the union be good for? Improve work conditions (no client can put Us in closets/basements when on site)? improving work/life balance (work less than 80hrs a week)? ... yeah, nah that’s not going to work 😂😂😂
