It’s good to be honest. But share it in a way that doesn’t feel like you’re making it up or exaggerating to get some perceived leverage or create false urgency on their part. Let them know why you’re excited to meet with them specifically. If you share it honestly, directly, and in a way that still makes them feel special on the list, it can help prompt them to move more quickly if they think you’re the right fit
I don’t see why not. They don’t own you and it makes you look like you’re wanted. Besides, you’re likely far from the only person they’re talking to
I doubt anyone would ask that, they don’t care
Are you taking it literally? It's small talk like "How are you?", but nobody is really asking how you are. If anyone asks you how you are doing today or how your day is going or whatever version of this, just say "doing great / looking forward to meeting you guys" or some such bs and move on
Wut?
Someone would ask you what you were doing...in the hours of the day before it was time for your interview? And you're asking if it's OK to respond that you were, say, at another interview that morning? I don't understand the part "if I'm interviewing at multiple places in a day". What exactly is your question?
AD 1 - if I’m going to interview with bbdo, mccann and akqa for example in one day. If akqa asks “so what were you up to today” should i tell them i was attending other interviews? I don’t think it was that complicated
More like improbable above else. Just lie too? Wut? Confused.
Yeah, nobody is going to ask you that.
(And no, don't tell them if they do.)
When I’m asked if or with whom else I’m interviewing, I say that I’m having conversations with the usual suspects in my market. I think it shows that I’m in demand and networked to be speaking to all the hot shops with the coveted accounts, but a discrete way to say so. When I frame it like that no one has ever pressed about who, where, etc.
Yep, I say I'm "currently actively looking for new opportunities", which usually comes up during conversation around how soon I'd be available or where/how far along I am in the process. Nobody is going to ask you what you were up to today. No worries.
Ad 1 - every interview I’ve ever went to has opened with that lol or something of the sort. Maybe people just don’t trust me or something
