Depends on EY and whether you're driving for work. The credit card only covers damage to the rental vehicle. It does not cover damage you do to another car, structure, or human. Rental companies typically provide the statutory minimum liability, which may be very insufficient. It's probably a terrible idea to drive without corporate coverage or your own insurance policy.
Also, understand the limits of credit card coverage. If that’s a personal card, it is likely secondary insurance to your personal auto policy, and most of the time they exclude or limit high value cars.
Yeah, if you don't have a car, it's still smart to get coverage anyways. It's cheap and worth it if you are worth anything.
