If you are working in S&O for a large tech company (think Shopify/LinkedIn) would you try to join a fast growing startup for a director of ops/finance role or try to lateral into a similar S&O role in FAANG?

Currently in MBA program - top 40 school. Hoping to apply the mba intern position at google. What are my chances? Wanting to break into data analytics or PM roles. Accounting background with beginner SQl, tableau, python experience ( pls be critical)

Currently a paralegal at a small start up financial services company been there for just a little over a year. I wear “multiple hats” but more recently I’ve done a lot of PM work and some BA work. My position title is changing soon but I’m wondering how helpful that would be for wanting to go into PM work at a tech company. Anyone have any career pivot advice? (Also I’m only 1.5yrs old in my career so I’m definitely still new, and I have previous experience as a project assistant).

How best to find PE opportunities as an exit from Big4 strategy?

Anyone gone from PA to CBRE ? Do you like it ?

Currently at Deloitte and considering leaving. Is it worth jumping from one Big4 to another? Seems like getting into Industry is not working out.

With post-covid office culture I can’t imagine it’s that big of an ask. As a vendor, I design and develop CMS/RMS applications. Over the last few months my job work load has increased to helping more teams and I have been brought on to be a major voice on a product transition (I am one of three non managers helping make the decision and have more responsibility on the project then half the managers. SO and I got in to a disagreement on the background of Indian tech CEOs. It appears that they are all from 1 or 2 major communities in India.

While he thinks that its genetics/being naturally gifted that got them to where they are I believe it's the environment & discipline that made them successful. We are not from said communities but curious to hear your thoughts on who is more accurate.

How many billable hours per week is considered at capacity? I’m getting pushback on boundaries I’m setting about additional matters and marketing work from my firm when I’ve been billing 60-75 hours per week for the last 6 weeks, and I’m still behind on my work. I feel like it’s reasonable to not kill myself further to fit in more/turn things around faster at this point, but am I being unreasonable? I expect my workload to remain at this level through the end of the year at least.
