Hello Guys,
I joined Cognizant recently, the project interview calls which I am getting is not from my base location.
I have the location constraint, should I wait for the right opportunity or raise this concern to ADP team so they can look in to it?
As per ADP policy, one should not have any constraints and take the project as FCFS basis.

I imagine, for the sake of time, they would not have advanced you in the process if anyone prior to the Partner said no

Yes, 99.99% of the time.

It’s a relative ranking and there are only so many chairs at the table. It’s not that they didn’t like a person that didn’t make the cut, they just have others that they choose instead.
A lot of it is about alignment with the areas the firm wants to grow.

Not necessarily. From what I’ve experienced, multiple candidates can complete a full cycle and then the group meets to choose between the finalists to make a hire. Just because a Partner votes one way doesn’t mean that overrides how everyone else feels. Similarly, we’ve gotten to the end of a cycle with only one finalist, got together and agreed we were all lukewarm on the candidate so decided to continue the search vs. making the hire.
It’s very situational and depends a lot on interview timings and how things progress with each candidate in the queue. Not everything works out in lock step as Interview 1 = Decision 1, Interview 2 = Decision 2, etc.
Depends on their process. All the firms I worked for collect all of the feedback then make a decision. A lot of times the Partner is ok but the candidate bombed a case so they didn’t pass.
Maybe. Our PMD group usually refers to us in hiring associates and seniors since we spend more time working with them. So it’s not necessarily the partner’s opinion.
Get feedback. Figure out if it's a not right now or a never. And plan accordingly.
I doubt it, but if one person is continually blocking you, it could become a never. So, figure out what the reason was as yo why you were blocked. Don't waste energy on a firm if you're not going to get through. As you can see, these things aren't guaranteed 💁🏾♀️
Just know what you're up against.
Does that make sense?

Usually that is what it means. Lately though, we have been scheduling both follow-on interviews after the screening and I may be interviewing someone right after their case or in depth skills interview. In those cases the results sometimes lag and I interview someone that failed.
