Finally found THE one, after over a year of searching and trying out at least 5 different ones!
A nice comfortable office chair.

My criteria: mesh seat and back, arms, headrest
I tried cheap ones from Amazon. Expensive, second hand gaming chairs. Tried HM Aeron (second hand) and while I didn't like the bulk and the general design, I was sold on the mesh seating. I wanted to get the ErgoChair 2 from autonomous, but it doesn't have mesh seat.
AMA.

As long as it takes to get the next offer
2 years is a good amount of time
Get promo and get out

It depends on what your goals are. I agree that 2 years in consulting is a good amount of time to grow and get experience on your resume and demonstrate ability. You'll also want to align to promo timelines to an extent (no point in leaving 2 months before a promo). But if you decide you want to go in a very different direction, might as well leave sooner rather than later. Or if you can't get the jobs you want, stay longer if that will help.
What you need to figure out is what you want your next step to be and longer term goals and figure out the best way to get there. But if you're right out of UG, don't worry if you don't make the most optimal decisions, just focus on making good and better decisions at first.
Jumping at 1.5yrs
Why do you want to move? If there’s an offer on the table that’s clearly better (whether that’s salary, advancement potential, whatever), go ahead and take it.
However, if you are leaving your first job before +/-2 years, you may want to keep a few things in mind: 1) A single short-term stay isn’t a big deal, especially early in your career — but you probably don’t want a string of 1-2 year stays in your recent past. 2) If you leave your current firm much sooner than is typical/expected, you may burn a bridge, and you never know who at this job will be interviewing you at another company in 5 years. Again, being the analyst who left after 6 months probably won’t be a dealbreaker at that point — but being the person who left badly with a lot of unresolved loose ends might be, so make sure your departure is otherwise as smooth & graceful as possible.
This was primarily an educational inquiry. No offers or anything I’m looking at for the time being. I just have gathered from general wisdom on here that the only way to be properly compensated in the racquet is to jump ship often
Jumping at 10months to a competitor lol (moving from T3 to T2)
This really depends on your objective. If you're unhappy and want out, then no harm in applying to positions and seeing what you can get.
If you have a specific career goal in mind, then you need to align this. Less than 1 years could mean a lateral move, so you may want it wait longer. More than 2 years may give you better insight into your next move and more networking options.
But generally it's best to not leave right before a promotion, if it can be helped. (Can usually use that to negotiate a higher position or better pay)
