I put in my 2 week notice today. I’ll let you know how it turns out lol
Amazing! Best of luck! 😃🎉
Quit after 3 years. I felt I wasn't learning anything...besides rolling files and doing it like PY.
I recently left for a Corporate Development & Strategy role - I'm a lot happier!
Where did you go to?
It really depends on your personality, career goals, the practice and culture you are leaving vs the role / culture you are joining. Grass isn’t always greener. Point is be very deliberate in setting your desired criteria for a new role and honest with yourself so you get a thorough evaluation between staying and leaving.
I like the firm and the culture I just hate audit. I scheduled time to talk through with a Director I trust at Deloitte. I think the best option for me is leaving the firm because of wider ranges of opportunity but I haven’t given up on staying even though the process of internal transfer takes a while.
Grass is greener as a fund acct mgr at a private company
Best decision ever
I left right after my second busy season at KPMG. Went to EY accounting advisory and loving every bit of it. Got an early promo, 40% bump, and have made $20,000 in bonuses I wouldn’t have received at KPMG. Also don’t have busy season which is a huge plus- I work 40-45 hrs a week on average.
OP- what industry do you primarily audit?
