For example if I move from low cost of living area to high cost of living area does the company re-evaluate the base salary within USA? Hi All, I recently found a helpful way to earn some extra money without putting in too much effort. Focus groups are a great side hustle to do in your free time. I’ve been using L&E Research to find and apply to new studies. Hope this helps! We have a sitter and she hasn’t come since mid March. We have continued to pay her since we are still getting paid. If we lose our jobs that would change but felt it was the right thing to do.
We’re doing the same thing. Also considering bringing her back hopefully June/July time.
Our nanny stopped coming mid March as well. We continue to pay her and I am so looking forward to the day she can come back.
Our nanny stopped coming mid-March but we have continued to pay her, since my husband and I are still employed. We’re aiming to have her back in June. Can’t come soon enough!
Mine stopped coming in mid-March. She was sick but has thankfully recovered. We paid her for two weeks that she wasn’t there. And we’ve just made the decision to bring her back at the beginning of June - she’s been cleared by her doctor, and we are just at the end of our rope. The stress is too much for us, with homeschool, two full time jobs, etc.
My friend is still paying even though they left town
We left town mid March and are still paying our nanny. We reduced her pay to 40 hrs a week rather than the variable 50-60 hrs a week after the first two weeks when we saw that this was going to be a longer term situation. We hope we can start using her when we come back to NYC in about a month. She drives herself so we consider her fairly low risk.
It helpful to hear that some are choosing to continue compensating the child care provider even though the job is “on hold”.
This makes me happy to hear so many people are continuing to pay. We are too. Since me and my husband haven’t (yet) been financially impacted. But hoping to get some help from our nanny again soon!
We left town mid March and are continuing to pay our sitter based on his normal fixed hours.
We had ours stop coming mid-March. My husband and I both haven’t had a change in our employment. We are still paying her based on her regular hours.
I guess I’m the only one here that has continued to have our nanny come! 🤷🏼♀️
We share a babysitter with my brother at his home. It’s the only house that we will walk into and the only ppl we do not socially-distance with. Both our families have been careful - but not neurotic. Our babysitter drives and is personally very stringent on the rules. She has continued to come throughout everything and thank god for that or we’d be going bonkers!
