Rising Star
I’d feel okay about it because my ego isn’t that fragile. Someone younger than me can teach me many things depending on a confluence of their education ( not just formal) and work experience
I would take it as a comment on my own mediocrity and just do my best.
Why would I care?
I had a manager in my late 20s that ended up reporting to me in my late 30s, we have worked great together either way.
Dont worry about age.
I was interviewed and hired by younger staff and I work for a younger manager now. I have learned a lot from them and they have learned from me. Unless you are super insecure, age is really irrelevant. It’s about professionalism, respect and the skills people bring to the table
If you interviewed for Facebook, the CEO is probably younger than you. Why would it matter?
I once saw a legendary fish ask out his recruiter and to my knowledge they’re still going strong
Umm age doesn’t always mean less experienced or more experienced 🤷🏼♀️
Get over yourself. At some point you will have a boss that is younger than you are. Don’t worry about the age and keep focusing on your work. As hard as it is, there will be times when you start interacting with people who are smarter and younger than you. Accept it, know your limitations, be happy, and move on.
Everyone tracks a different path. Don’t worry about age. Just keep moving.
