Looking at transitioning from strategy/accounts to client side sales. Anyone from Google wanna help a lady out with a referral?
Do any 🐠 have tips on how best to maintain motivation for job hunting long term? Been actively applying for months now; despite having had a few interviews I still feel lesser than due to the slog the search has been and the number of apps I've sent out. (Also I just ate shit on the Bain aptitude screening test so the recency on that is probably also a factor 😅)
Did you discuss salary/title before an offer was extended? What timeline from interview?
3.3 GPA in CS, 760 GMAT, Deloitte internships - should I bother applying to deferred MBAs? Or do I not have a shot?
I am considering an industry position for a near-IPO start up that will make equity part of the comp package. I don't want to look like a total newb to them, so what questions should I ask or what....
I’ve started my job hunt in earnest. Revamped my resume, been setting up informational interviews, getting emails from recruiters ... I’m so excited for the next step!
Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?
Have an interview for Google Technical Account Manager. Anyone interviewed for this role? What’s it like?
Hi McKinsey 🐟 Compared to the Associate role, is the Associate Implementation more role change management implementation or tech / tools coding focused, or neither? Is there a difference in comp?
Is McKinsey still hiring? I saw a lot of open positions a couple days back and applied right away? What's the recruiting process like? TIA
Anyone who interviewed with Goldman Sachs recently, how did the salary negotiations go? The couple of calls I received from HR, they want to pin down a number before even proceeding for the interviews. So just wondering if they negotiate it when giving an offer.
I expect my firm has layoffs or furloughs after June but I love where I’m at and am on cusp of promotion to M. I think applying is a must but should I stay if I do get something?
Hi, I am having 2.8 years of experience as a Quality Analyst for both Manual and Automation Testing looking for a job change. Let me know if any openings. Preferred location Pune
I was confident that my late-stage interview with Uber went well - just received a rejection email. Perhaps I'm rationalizing, but is it safe to chalk this up as a good miss given the volatility of their business?
EY (specifically the New York FDD data analytics team) is actively hiring seniors and managers. Please feel free to reply to this post or send me a private message if interested. Thank you.
Pros and cons of working in Human Capital Consulting for Deloitte GPS? (Government and Public Sectors) How are the exit ops?
I was laid off from a resource management role, working with employees approaching or on the bench, working with managers to staff projects, and support functions like report creation, scheduling, etc. Roles like this are few and many large consulting firms have frozen internal hiring. Do you think it would be beneficial to get a SHRM cert? Would that help get a "talent related" HR role? Worth the money? I have a background in recruitment as well.
Have a SQL interview coming up... They said it will be 3-4 questions that should take me 1-1.5 hours total, and to know "intermediate to advanced SQL, particularly joins and window functions". Any tips for preparing? I can do the hard questions on StrataScratch and am wondering if that's as hard as interview questions will get.
If I accept the promotion to Partner/Principal what's the least number of years I could work without it being a financial mistake. I have an opportunity to do something completely unrelated that's my passion, but I feel like that's the wrong decision when I'm this close. The other opportunity should still be there for 2-3 years
Hi all! I currently live in LA but my wedding next year will be in my hometown of Chicago. I plan to go wedding dress shopping soon in both LA and Chicago. If I find my dream wedding dress in Chicago, I’d like to order it to be shipped to a store in LA so that I can have my fittings throughout the year without having to travel back to Chicago. However this also means I would have to fly to Chicago with my wedding dress. Has anyone been in this situation before? If so, how was the experience?
Fully fund Roth and HSA on 1/1/21 for 2021 to get full year gain? Or DCA 1/1/21-12/31/21 to hedge?
Anyone else ever think about switching to more general marketing and going to get an MBA?

Downside to being poached by your federal client? I like the team and the salary is comparable (less growth maybe but that's fine with me.)
Last day to roll off, my watch has ended. 🤘🏻
Female 🐠 - has anyone had a laparoscopic myomectomy? Would like to hear how long it took you to return to: 1.) light remote work 2.) full time remote work 3.) traveling to client. Thanks
Is it just me or is there a materially high % of IAAS consultants (relative to other actuarial departments in the insurance, consulting and/or reinsurance industry) who backstab each other to get ahead ?
My current company is working on onboarding me to a new client. I accepted a verbal offer from another firm this week and haven’t signed anything. I would prefer to wait to give notice until all formalities are completed and background check clears. How do I delay client onboarding? Or do I just go along and burn the bridge in a couple weeks?
For MBA apps will it hinder or help you if you provide a list of other MBA programs you are looking into besides the one you are currently applying for?
Put on a bit of weight during COVID and have a pretty serious interview coming up this Friday. Any suggestions on dresses? Likely a size 16 at the moment - really want to look put together but I can’t find anything!
Interviewing with PWC digital risk solutions group - any pointers on what I can expect or any knowledge from people who are familiar with the DRS group. Input on company culture would also be great.
Hear me out. We’re living in the residual days of advertising power. Back in the day, if you worked in advertising, you very much shaped culture. Advertising creatives shared the airwaves with only the likes of Hollywood and national news. There were only so many pipes into culture and advertising was a big one. But today, the pipes are democratized. Random teens on TikTok are having more impact on culture than Mad Ave. And yet, so much ego and self importance remains.
