Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. I decalred FBP, and the amount got deducted from my salary.
Now I can see I am eligible for some amount under FabP. What is it and when will I get it?
What exactly is the funda of it?
Let say I am eligible for x amount in FBP LTA. And some y of x got deducted in a specific month, now that y portion is showing in FBP tab to upload the bill.

What if in case I have LTA bill which is exceeding x amount itself, do I need to raise reimbursement request every month th with same bill?

Edward Jones advisor with 30 million AUM and roughly 250k gross production. Been there for almost 4 years. Got an offer at Merrill Lynch to take over a 100 million dollar retirement transition plan in 5 years, or to join a 5 person Merrill Lynch team that manages a lot.

Pros to EJ: Have my own office, a year or two away from partnership, great office setting and client satisfaction.

I’ve had radio silence from a small investment bank for about a week now. I’ve completed several rounds of interviews, but last Thursday the firm reposted the job I’ve been interviewing for. On Friday the headhunter said that they’re not sourcing new candidates and it’s probably just LinkedIn automatically refreshing the listing. She said they had a busy week last week but will make a final decision this week - is the delay and radio silence a bad sign or is this typical for experienced hiring?

What do you guys think about a career in investor relations / capital formation for a decent size PE. I think principals get carry.
