My thinking is no, because while you're tied up at a lower rate, someone might come along a few weeks later and offer you a higher rate where you'd work less but make the same or more.
If you do take it, make sure they commit to that time frame and can't let you go at will.
Unless you're desperate for a job I would not go with a lower rate. It also sets a bad precedent for if they decide to extend or make it permanent
No. You’re not on sale. Don’t negotiate down but rather hold the line. Since as a contractor you have to withhold taxes and often cover business expenses, healthcare and other essentials. Plus the lower rate sets a precedent for the business to negotiate you down over time. Celebrate your prices - you’re worth it

Account VP/Director and $125 - $150/hour
