I’m 64 with several backgrounds and applying to jobs being overqualified and excepting less money, but being turned down. I can’t believe that I’m not getting hired. They say they are looking at other candidates. Can they discriminate because of my age? That’s what I heard. They would rather hire young kids who don’t care how much they get paid. Have only found this to be true in Florida. Any thoughts?

I got an offer at Meta as a 3-mo contingent CSM that pays 2x what I make now.

Two pros: 1) Making the jump from a non-tech agency role to FAANG can be tough, so this is a great oppo in that aspect.
2) I'm living in SF on a non-tech salary, so the pay increase would be incredible.

It’s possible I could move into a similar role @ Meta once this expires, but to be safe, I'd need to start the job hunt again asap.
