Hi, I am a making a career change from graphic design to motion design or as a 3d artist. I finished my masters degree last October and have been looking for a job since then. Can anyone please refer me to entry level roles that are not asking entry levels to have 3-5 years experience if that even exists these days. Also below is a link to some of my work any feedback on the portfolio would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance

I am truly amazed that any firm can offer a salary below $60,000 and first year associates would accept it. At my firm (not big law) our legal assistants are paid a minimum of $50,000 a year. Leave and find a decent firm and don’t look back.
You should offer to take a reduction in salary and/or increased hours.
What is your area of practice? To what area will you leave? I would wait for the bonus as I left about $10–$15K on the table for a $15K increase. It’s not worth leaving before the bonus.
Not all firms will give a signing bonus (e.g. High volume ID) for a 1st year associate. They will simply move on to another candidate. That is why the answers to my questions, and more information, is important.
My firm is hiring. No billable requirement. Starting salary is $80k with remote options. DM me if you’re interested
Dude, even the State Attorney's Office pays more than that! You need to get out of there!
In Florida, as a first year, I made 50k in Central Fl
While I agree that not all firms will give a signing bonus, any firm worth going to will offer some sort of signing bonus. The increased salary alone will offset a reduced signing bonus of $5,000 or so. It is not worth committing career suicide with a junky firm paying 1st years $45,000 for a bonus. Jump ship as soon as a good opportunity presents.
That depends what city you are in. Are you in a major Florida city or small town? That pay may be common for a small town. However for Miami, Fort Lauderdale, tampa, the pay is much higher.
AA1’s advice sucks. You can leverage the bonus as a signing bonus to move to another firm.
That’s a good point. It all depends on the circumstances of the author of the post, and I believe the author should inquire about a signing bonus.
I was making $65K, excelling in my position, having multiple interviews, and expecting at least $15K in about five or four months. If found in a similar position again, I would wait for the bonus.

Seriously though, with student loans where they are does it truly make sense for students to go into private practice for such little pay?
