I'm a HR Coordinator in England. Moved into HR about a year ago. Started new job in Jan. The remit of my role will now increase, as the HRBP will be going on mat leave, she is not being backfilled, meaning a lot of high responsibility tasks will come my way. I am now feeling the salary I was offered is quite low for the responsibilities of the role. For context, I was offered £30K.

I think I should ask for an increase to £35-36K at the end of my probation. How would you approach this?

For a linear regression analysis… the equation of a line is Y=MX+B, where M is the slope. So if I’m measuring a line across 365 days and M=.2, can I say that I have increased production by 20% over a year. Or is production increasing 20% each day?

Ugh I wanted to take my son to see a UFC match in person. Just so happens there is one in November at Madison Square Garden - great right! My current salary is under market average for my position but based off my coworkers’ negative experiences with asking for raises/promotions, I’m not really sure how to go about starting the conversation with my manager. There’s also a rumor going around that the company is going to scale back on our marketing efforts even though our VP tells us a different story. Either way I need more money and I just want to have that conversation before I begin looking for a new job.

I started QA at the company I am currently at 3 years ago. Long story short, within 4 months at the company, I was able to make a career change and step into a PM position. Without having the formal education or PM experience, only my 5 years in QA experience. When I started I made $65k and have jumped to $78k. I have seen other companies post $100k+. Annual review is tomorrow. Should I fight for more or look for more somewhere else if I lose that fight?
