I think you should say something. Do damage control to the extent possible.
I’m considered a high performer so I just want my work to do the talking. So far I’ve just not bothered even though people have told me she bitched me out with them. I also don’t want this to turn into bigger drama, especially during my milestone year.
You’d have to say something to her first; so, tread carefully. “I’ve heard you’ve had some criticism regarding how I ______. Can we schedule a time to talk about your concerns? I’m open to improvement so if there is something your seeing let me know.” And then do just that - listen, don’t get defensive, be empathetic. THEN if there is something to set straight do so. Like, “I can see how it would appear flaky when I didn’t complete X when I said I would; Big Partner told me to do Y asap and I just had to prioritize that, it didn’t seem like it would impact anyone significantly and in-charge knew so it didn’t seem like it warranted communicating it out to the whole team.”
If you are going to say anything at all it should be said to her first. Otherwise, let it go and focus on your own self directed improvement and work. Either option is fine, just don’t complain about her if you haven’t spoken to her.
