I'm about to accept an offer at a competitor to my company. The package is quite good, but there are effectively fewer vacation days. Time off is really important to me, and I'm wondering if anyone has had success negotiating a few more days off. Some details: industry is finance. Previous company was 33 days combined PTO. New company is 20 vacation days, 3 personal days, and 10 sick days. Getting 2-5 more vacation days would seal the deal, and I'd even take a pay cut for it. Thanks!

I interviewed with a company last week and the interviewer said he would submit my notes to the hiring manager and I would hear back this Monday from HR on next steps/if they want to move forward. I didn’t hear back yesterday so I emailed HR and she said she wasn’t part of the hiring decision so would reach out to the initial interviewer for his feedback.
